Default Who makes the Super-Duper 50K Wiper Blades that are OEM?

I have had the origional wiper blades on for 53,000 Miles so far and they are still working very well (through 2 winters too), and just this week the end of one started to come apart by about a 1/2 inch.. So I guess I should seek a replacement..

Who makes the OEM Blades and how can I be sure to get the exact blades that have lasted soooooooooo long as a replacement? Heck.. Bosches don't hardly last over 10K!

One way to make the Bosches or any other wiper blade last is to wipe them down with 303 Aerospace Protectant regularly. My OEM blades lasted two years until the end of one started to tear, mainly from hitting the edge of the plastic piece at the bottom of the window.

Our hot summers and lots of rain tend to wear out wiper blades in no time at all but the 303 sure seems to help them stay soft and flexible.

What does the dealership sell? My guess is that it's the same crap as you'd find at Wal-Mart or any auto parts store.

You can get free replacements for life at your local Nissan dealer! Just have to visit the lot after hours...

Excellent idea! I forgot about that parts bin.

I have tried a couple of brands since I have had my Z, right now I purchased the Bosche ICON that doesn't have the springs etc, just a smooth blade, it is very clean looking, snow and ice can't get jambed in there, and they work well. Longivity I can't say. BTW, they didn't list a blade for the rear, I just used the same part number as for the passenger side.

I will have to try those.

I am half tempted just to cut off the part that has torn.

That's what I did. Because the last 3/4" was rubbing on the plastic at the bottom of the windshield, I took an X-Acto knife and removed a little from the end. Eventually it would have worn out and started flapping.

We put some PIAA's on our Titan and they work real good. We have pretty much everything that PIAA makes for the 350Z in stock if you want to try some of those out. Here's a link to PIAA showing what's available for the Z:

I have had PIAA Super Silicone Blades for two rainy seasons here in NorCal, they are still working like new.

The Valeo blades are the new cool thing in wiper technology, at least to hit the states. They've been used in Europe for a while.
Google "Valeo ultimate wiper blade", learn about them, then buy from amazon, and wait two months for them to get in stock. They are excelent....
