Default Got rear ended

I was just rear ended two days ago. So I have to replace my hatch and back bumper. The guys insurance company is sending me the check for $1700. I know I am going to get a cf hatch, but I was thinking that I might as well spend a couple extra hundred and just get a whole new body kit!! I was thinking the vertex! While I am at it, is there any other exterior mods I should do?(without having to selll a kidney)

Before you cash the check...

Has the insurance company sent an adjustor (sp?) to see the car? Have you gotten an estimate from a reputable shop? Regarless of how mild or bad the "hit" maybe you should still have it looked at - for peace of mind... Let me know how it goes...

I got rearended last month. The body shop told me a quick estimate to get it repaired. But once they took a closer look the estimate doubled. I don't think it woud cost too much to make the car look normal. But if you want everything fixed right it will cost more.

hellz yea. u could pick up a cf hatch and some other parts for sure for 1700, full vertex kit would be tuff to get and still afford the hatch...unless you went with AutoRnd muahahahahahah i think u can get that one for llike 600 ftw!

The insurance adjustor came yesterday and gave my a print out of the estimate. But I am going today to a body shop to get my own estimate. But I to wait until the bumper is off the car before the body shop can tell if there is any other kind of damage, but it just means the the persons insurance company has to fork out more cash to me.

The trunk is bangged up, so I have to replace it. A oem hatch costs like $550 and a cf hatch cost around $650, so I am going to spend the extra $100 and but the cf hatch.

You are going to have to wait til the bumper is off the car to tell if there is any other damage. but you shouldn't worry to much cause it just means the the other persons insurance company has to pay more money.
