I have heard a lot of answers when i asked about clearance. Yeses, no's and maybe. I am here to provide information for those of you with the Crawford plenum and looking to get a Seibon hood. I installed the TS this afternoon and tried peekin under when cracked over just to see if the plenum would touch any of the bracing. Everything seemed okay. I place the hood down and slowly pushed down with a friend having a hand on the hood when the plenum would be (so as to feel if the hood were flexing at all. The hood was difficult to latch just by pushing but it was possible. However we could not tell the plenum was touching the top and there did not seem to be any stess on it when pushing down. When we opened it back up there was not any damage or marks under showing any contact. Next i held the hood about three feet up and decided to try the dropping method for locking. This was very scary and i was hesitant on doing it but my buddies told me that i was just being paranoid. (The other option said was that i walk away, not look, and they'd close it.) Needless to say i opted to do it myself. So I dropped the hood and it locked right into place. Perfectly and smoothly. No strange ugly noises that would make you cringe thinking something broke at all.
Just wanted to give a definite answer to the question ...yes a Crawford plenum doesn fit under the Seibon TS hood. Hope this helps anyone who has been wondering.
