My friend opted for a urethane one. A week after he got it, an ambulance chucked a stretcher at him while he was driving and it hit his bumper, and he had a small scratch, but nothing big.

I have the JP Aero?Vizage Type A kit and wing. I'm not sure if the entire kit comes in urethane or just the front bumper. I know its alot more expensive. Good luck!

I'm also debating the urethane vs fiberglass issue.

I like the JP Vizage type A but was told it only comes in FRP (fiberglass reinforced plastic). Looks real good but not sure how much road abuse it will take. I wouldn't hessitate on FRP for wing or side skirts but for front bumper???

FRP seems more flexible than fiberglass but I have no experience with FRP hitting something on the road. Small pebbles, small pieces of tire tread (~4" square) or something like a softball or small bird.

Then there is the problem with inclides like my drive way. Just turning into driveway every now and then I get to scrape the front bumper.

Note that one site had the JP Vizage front bumper advertized as being urethane but when digging into it they fessed that it was FRP. I would call before getting it and request assurance that if bumper was not urethane they would pay for shipping back to them. Get something in writing or email before putting money down.

Their price is great but Octane's description of kit is FRP and not urethane.

How has the front bumper handled the day to day driving. Any chips or has it worked as good as urethane? Heard that FRP is the next best thing.

Works as good as the original lip that was on the car. No stress cracks or anything. Just remember not to pull up too close to those concrete parking space stoppers.
