Just wondering if anyone would be interested in a replica of one? I'm currently in the process of potentially purchasing an authentic c/f one from a member here tomorrow. However he painted the lip lemans orange, and by chance I have a coworker that does carbon fiber work. I asked him to redo the lip for me and he agreed. I originally thought that he was just going to rewrap the lip, but it turns out he's actually making a mold, and reconstructing it as a replica. Seeing as how he's going to have the mold already, I asked him to make three. I'm still waiting for the lip, hopefully I get it tomorrow, and I've been told the c/f guy can finish the replica in one week. At that time I'll post pictures. Just seeing if there's any interest, if so I'll have him make the extra two for some people to purchase from this forum. Keep in mind I'm not making any profit from this myself, it'll just be the cost of the materials, and what my coworker wants to charge for labor. Just wanted to see if I could extend a good deal to fellow forum members. I'll keep you guys updated on the pics!

isn't that what our forum sponsors are for? Unless your a sponsor I dont think your allowed to sell these here...profit or not

 

I'm not mass producing these.. maybe I should've posted in the private classified section? I was getting this done myself, and just requested the guy to do two extra, so I can try and help out someone looking for a nice lip at a really decent price. Especially if they're local, they wouldn't have to worry about shipping. Just a good look, not trying to build a lucrative empire. And as I said before, I don't stand to make any profit from this.

 

I understand what your saying, but someone is making a profit. Evo-R I believe already makes and sells these here, there's no need to get more produced for your friend to make a profit off the members here. I could be, and probably am wrong....so maybe someone with some more authority and knowledge of the forum rules could chime in.

 

And I understand where you're coming from... BUt there is really no profit being made. The guy is doing this as a favor for me, and I think his hard work deserves some sort of compensation. If it goes against the site rules, then I just won't sell them, I'm not going to become a site sponsor, so I can sell two lips at no profit. As I see it, I could've posted in the private classified forum, saying I had two replica lips for sale and there wouldn't be a problem, but because I disclosed the background, there is? And I assure anyone vendor that may feel threatened by this, that there is no chance he's going to quit his full time job, to produce c/f products, it's just one of his hobbies.
