Default GT spoiler

I am looking into getting a GT spoiler. I want something that isnt 2 high but a few inches off the rear of the car. isnt 2 expensive. maybe CF? I dont know. what are the options? I know that the 350z specific ones are retardedly expensive and I dotn understand why its priced so high. how many inches should I be looking at lets say if I wanted to get a universal one?

**** I honestly dont want anyone that is gonna come here and be like GT spoilers are rice, look ugly, blah blah blah. just stay outa this thread if you dont have anything to add to what i am asking. thx****

no no no, i like the nismo spoiler look but its a little 2 tamed for me. I want one of those park bench looking things. i think it will go well with the peiced together body kit im putting together. but I dotn see why they cost like 1000 or more for the 350z when all other cars get em for like 200-300 bucks. so im looking for cheaper alternatives aka ebay, and maybe seeing if anyone knows anymore info on like how big I need to get it. also I dont want it to sit like 2 feet in the air like alot of people have it.

chebosto, is that your topsecret wing? i thought you sold it?? looks great but dam* its alot of money.

hey the apr gt200 looks good to me, but the price still seems to be kinda high.... like I look on ebay and I see universal ones for like 200 and I think the gt200 is 600+ dollars after ship? (imma poor bastard.... so im looking for a cheap solution.)

but curious can someone tell me why those spoilers are better than the ones on lets say ebay...?? is it the angle they use? or is it just the brand name?

something like this is what im thinking about but im not so sure... seems kinda high

i've been trying to sell my Top Secret wing.. no buyers.. sigh..

Cheap(er) solution, APR GT300. Works just as well, just doesnt look a good (imho) with the base..

the generic ones on ebay, they're not necessarily worse- as long as the airfoil is in the correct spot above in the airstream, it'll work. your next goal is to make sure its attached to the hatch correctly. with most wings with center orientated wing pedistal mounts, you will get dimples in the metal due to the downforce onto the hatch. Cwest/ Voltex/INGS have side mounted pedistals that distribute the downforce toward the sides of the hatch, but in some cases i've still seen the metal dimple in. i just like their mounting bases alot better. hence me moving onto the Voltex..

the general rule of thumb is get a GT wing with smooth curves. i've seen alot of ebay specials with the nasty hump in the middle and at weird angles of curvature. (like the one you linked)

also, if u want to go cheaper, and you already have the stock wing on, try the AC Schnitzer (spelling?) Replica touring wing and put it ontop.. this is what MINE's did in japan...

Chris-
i am going with Voltex Type 3 with my CF hatch- the TS pedistals wont work with a composite hatch, unless i make some serious bases to distribute the downforce evenly.. the Voltex bases can do just that.. hence the sale.

you interested? i'll make you a good deal. -

http://www.voltex.ne.jp/

this wing is smaller in width than my TS GT2 wing, however, the 2nd wing element on the trailing edge is better for more downforce..
