How much to tint the Z?
I'm getting my car tinted in a couple of days. It's hotter than hell in the bay area right now. How much did Z owners pay for their tint job???

Yo I guarantee that the yay area aint hotter than here. It's like 130 here with 2000% humidity everyday . But it depends who you go to, how much they quote you and if they know how do it right. I had to get mine redone because I start getting bubbles everywhere after a while. But $250-$300 sounds good. Cheaper than that and you pay for what you get.

Just got mine tinted yesterday. 15% in the hatch and rear windows and 20% in the front. It looks clean and is not too dark or too light. Paid $150.
I know a guy that got limo tint all the way around. It looks tight, but visability at night isn't great.
You shouldn't pay more than $150. Beware of the $100 tint jobs (unless you know the guy)... you get what you pay for. Oh yeah, and stay away from that pre-cut crap on ebay.

Reject heat without tint
I got some unbelievable German stuff. You can’t see it on the glass but can feel the difference on my arm on a sunny day. Window down, hot. Window up, cool. Here is the link to the company that made the material.

The place I got it, down near Auto Mall in the Milpitas area might have gone out of business, though. It's not cheap.

enriquez49, Try Omega Tintwerks and ask for Vince. All you have to do is mention your on the my350z.com forum and he will give you the club discount. I got mine done with 50% all around except the front windshield for $180. And you get lifetime warranty. Only thing is that he is located in Pleasanton.
