Default Repairing bondo over urethane?

hi guys, i cracked my lip before and got it repaired at a shop
the only thing i am unsatisfied with is that when u feel underneath the lip, as in going over it to the otherside(noone can see)...i can feel the bondo repair
is there a way to take out the bumper and smooth it out?
my bodyman says itll cause it to recrack and its "normal" but it pisses me off , feels as if he could easily take it out and just sand that part down, how hard could it be since theres no paint in the back of a lip

not sure if soldering it would smooth it out, just probably read it somewhere on these forums probably

I'm wondering if the bondo is what's holding it together? he should have v cut on the inside portion and used a plastic welder w/ poly sticks?

well i "THINK" it is bondo, its a very hard gluish material
i can say that its very strong and keeps it reinforced and the bottom of the lip is smooth as hell, only problem is that when u reach over, it bulges out from the rest of the lips flat line

Your body man is correct, it will not work, if you can't see it, leave it, it will actually get scraped at some point anyway. I would'nt sweat it.

You can repair fiberglass with fiberglass, and do the finishing part{smoothing} with bondo, as far as urathane, there is a repair kit for small tears and so fourth, but thats about it.

U cant repair Urethane with bondo ---Troubles in the future---Auto Paint Suppiers offer a 2 part urethane for repairs that is used with a special "gun" much like a caulk gun cept it plunges and mixes the 2 parts, Hell to work with------ ( the reason they used bondo)

i see
it just seems so odd to me that my bodyman will not even sand it down for me
to be honest i sanded some of the stuff down myself, but its very tough material, i probably got 1/8th of it smoothened, how hard could it be to go a little further to satisfy a customer?
