I noticed in that post no one said anything about turning the oven off. From what I have read the safest way to go about this is to pre heat to the temp you want then turn the oven off right when you stick the light in. When you pull it out turn it back on to get the right temp, and turn it back off be4 you stick it in again.

I've taken mine apart twice so I'll chime in. I left the oven on the whole time.
Wear gloves, I didn't the first time and put a smudge on the chrome housing when swapping out amber for smoked diffuser. When I tried to clean the smudge off the chrome it actually took some chrome off the housing. I got into a fender bender which took out a headlight(diffuser was still good) so when I got the new headlight I decided too paint the chrome housing PPW because I had to take them apart anyway to put the smoked diffuser back in the new headlight.

They came out great! However, the instructions say to silicon the seam as a precautionary measure. The first time I took them apart I did not do this and I had no moisture leakage issues. The second time I didn't do it either and now I'm getting leakage on one of them. The one thats leaking was the one that was taken apart twice and the new headlight seems to be just fine. I think the problem is that when you take apart the light for the second time there's just not enough black sealant left for a tight seal. Long story short...just clear silicon the seam!

I was thinking that the best option would be to sell the chrome housings paint matched. If I were to buy new headlights, get them painted and assembled and guarantee no moisture leakage it would be so expensive I'd have to offer a core charge for peoples headlights. The problem with that is the variation of the conditions of the headlights I would receive in return. The only way to have them installed would be to ship them to the installer and have some down time. If there was enough interest I'd be willing to offer services.

I am in the process of becoming a vendor to offer my services to the Z community.

Satin Black works best IMHO because its not too glossy, and not too flat, def a good inbetween.

You don't need to remove any of the bulbs, ballast, or wiring, that just makes more work for yourself.

Once I get setup my thread will open again, if anyone has any questions or concerns, feel free to PM me!

Nitrouz did you get your clear corners smoked or painted too? they seem to match up real nice.
