Default headlight show off

I have 03 lights and want to paint the housing. I do not want overlays. I'd appreciate any pictures people have of their painted lights. I saw the sick 06 lights on nitrouz's car, absolutely beautiful. but i have 03 lights and want to see what you guys got, and approximately how much you paid to get it done.

You realize you just cut the HID output in half, and the highbeams are pretty much useless.

Well I didn't have HID's to start with (Base).
I put HID's in and painted everything. = better than stock now.

Don't be so quick to judge.

Light output is not effected since its a projector lens. It does NOT reflect off a reflector

However your highbeams will be rough

For 2006, your statement is correct, but I think for 2003-2005 I think it isn't a true projector. So I think low-beam is affected.

I dont see how its not a "true" projector...

It either is or it isnt, and the matter of fact is that it is a projector.

Unless there is another light for the low beam, such as a projector and a reflector, then yes, output will be effected, but only by a small margin since the projector has its full output.

Projector > Reflector

Heh...who knows, you may be right...I never tested it out. But I'm not sure what you're saying above. The 2003-2005 are projector/reflector, where-as the 2006 are straight projectors.

In that case you are correct. I really didnt think when you put on the low beams, the projector would come on along with a reflector. Thats silly...

Yes I apologize, I think you are correct.

No worries. From the samples of the work that you have done, it seems like you understood the function of the older headlamps.
