I used 2 cans of krylon Fusion flat black. Not a single paint flake or chip yet. You can't tell the difference from professional. Now let me add a note: You can't tell a difference IF you are using a flat color. If you plan on using a satin finish or glossy, I would highly recommend a professional job.

Well here's some contribution to this thread. I still have to heat them back up and seal them good. Also that spot near the corner is silcon. It's on the outside so I'll peel it off when I heat them back up.

EssTeaEyee,

Is that satin black on those pics? It's interesting to see you left those areas around the LED's chrome. Also, do you have further shots of these headlights on the car? I'd like to see the overall look it makes to the front.

Thanks!

Thanks guys.

This is a Gloss Black finish. However up close it looks as OEM as possible. I highly reccomend going with this color.

I just finished these up tonight, the owner said he would make a new thread showing the lights in some day light pictures.

The piece by the LED's was left chrome. Gives it more contrast and it also matches the silver very well.

The overall front end looks rediculous, I cant wait for some new shots.

When I painted my car I had the lights in a bin covered with a sheet. Some how a little overspray got on the lenses.

I used a little laqcuer thinner, but it started to actually make the plastic hazy in one little spot so I quit. I'll just take some 2000 to it when I wetsand the rest of the car. They'll come out looking like new.....except painted.
