Default Z with different Eyes

Thought I'd post this up if anyone wanted to see the difference between the 03-05 headlights and the 06 headlights...

06's will look sweet once I get the casing painted black.... Plus there a lot brighter then the 03-05's

Cool thing is there is a lid inside the lens and it only opens halfway for normal lights and opens all the way for brights... When I was testing them out I hit the brights and heard this noise couldnt figure what was making it until i looked on the wall and noticed the shadow was showing the lid going up and down...

Mr. Zipps does a great job. Don't worry, your headlights are in good hands.

my vote to 06. However, with $1200+, you can buy something else for better performance.

Yes. If the 06 is plug-n-play for an 03-05 (so long as you have HID), I'm pretty sure it would work the other way around as well. I'm planning on getting mine color-matched or satin black . Not sure yet since I'm still trying to get my wheels first.

I like the '06 better. Hmmm...maybe I should rent an '06 and swap out the headlights with my '05. I think it'll take them a while before they realize it.

It's held on with a screw driver (just left of center). I doubt that the install is complete.

So when you swap to the 06 healights from an 03 what happens with the brights. I though the 06 was HID high and low beam?

So what I am gathering is that the 03 just plugs in too?

Ya its being held on with just the screwdriver lol

I just did that to help show off the headlights better, the bumper is sitting on the ground at the moment while I wait for my 06 lights to be painted, should have them back by the end of next week and ill post some new pics with everything put back togeather..

Ya long as you don't have a base model 03-05 Z (I believe the 06's base model come std. with hid's) it's all plug and play..

The 06's have a lens with a hid inside of it, when using normal lights there is a shutter that blocks like half the lens, when you hit your brights the shutter opens all the way which makes things brighter, its a trip watching it on the wall, you can see the shutter going up and down..

At least this is the conclusion I got from seeing the shadow on the wall and hearing the shutter when you hit the brights..
