Hi all,

I am considering buying an used 2005 or 2006 350Z. I want a body kit for it but some of them only state that they fit on 2003-2004 or 2003-2005 models... Is this true? I didn't realize that the 2006 body was much different than the other years except for different tail lights and headlights....

DOes anyone have a 2006 and have put on a full bodykit? any problems or issues that you'd like to share?

Any help would be appreciated.

 

The 2006 is kind off similar, the only difference is the front lip which goes in a bit in the middle, the rest is all the same. you could always buy a 2006 and the the whole front bumper.

 

The 2006 front bumper is different in several ways, not only just the front lip portion under the grill.

The 2 front side reflector openings are different.

Lastly, if you compare very closely, the vertical folding line on the bumper that runs from the headlight to almost the bottom of the bumper (in the middle between the relfector opening and the grill) is in a different location than the 03-05 front bumper. I did not notice this until I was at a Z meet and compared my 06 front bumper to a 03-05 front bumper side by side.

Because of these changes, there's NO WAY you can modify a 03-05 front lip to fit an 06 front bumper.

 

Im pretty sure any 03-05 aftermarket bumper replacement will fit a 06'.. It's like they said above the 03-05 lips won't work with 06' OEM bumpers..

 

All body kits are the same for all years except for Front Lip's...

But you can replace the front bumper if you choose on the 2006.

You can even put a 2003-2005 front bumper on an 06 and put any lip you want on it... or vice versa...

I hit a coyote couple of weeks ago. I did some research and found some after market parts I wanted to add to the car while it was at a shop. One of which was greddy front lip and the other was the eyelids. THe greddy lip doesn't fit on the 06 Z even though Greddy official web site indicate that the lips is for an 03 and up. So now I have a painted Silverstone Lip for anyone interested. willing to get rid of it for cheap. Let me know.

 

Anyone know why they haven't produced any front lips for the 2006? There should be enough people out there who bought a new Z this year...
