Default hm...go or show?

ive wanted to make the Z perform better by getting after market equipment ie exhaust, intake...etc., but as for now, there really isnt much to do with the Z that would make that much of a difference, so im thinking about getting a body kit. Any advice as to which one to get? i really don't want to get one that would make the Z heavier than it already is. another 40-50 pounds is acceptable, but not more than that preferably. any comments or suggestions? thx
o...and which one do u guys prefer...go or show?

I prefer go, but some peices could be considered that.

such as light weight rims, topsecret has a lip that should increase front downforce, while looking quite nice, and its carbon fiber so it doesnt even weigh a pound.

other than that, try to look for kits that replace panels rather than just go over them, they tend not to increase weight much if at all. other than that, its your personal taste. I cant even keep up with body kits, it seems like theres a new one every day.

ive found a beautiful body kit. the veilside version 3. from the front it gives a little of a 350z/porshe look and the back is just gorgeous. but it is expensive and i dunt think i want to spend over 3k for it. are there any other bod kits out there that look as gud as this one? mebbe ill just not buy the arbon fiber hood and that will lower the cost. does anyone know how much weight this kit adds or removes from the car and the weight distribution after this kit? thx

i did not vote for either one. I think just get a bodykit that doesnt weight too much, like nismo's?
and get a lighter rims.
then u can get some serious increase in HP!!
thatz wat i am going to do!!

what the **** porsche does that resemble????

man that thing might increase winter traction as it plows snow, little children, and small cars from your path.

I gaurentee it will add, who knows how much(like it matters ) but you cant add that much plastic onto a car(that things gotta extend its overall lenth by atleast 6 inches) without adding weight.

lol naw...hes talking about the veilside body kit that i put up. the front looks a lil like mah friend's '89 911 turbo because it pops out (like u said ares) about 6 inches. doesn't it resemble the porche? it certainly does not look like the stock Z.

Angry vomit on my laptop

That Veilside kit is the most godawful thing I have ever seen in my life. Please don't do that to a Z. I hope that you were just kidding...

when I see that kit, porsche is not coming to mind, if it does resemble a porsche, its one that Im not familiar with.

I can throw my personal thoughts on outragious kits out the window, and pretend I like "loud" kits, but still thats an ugly kit, there are other "loud" kits that are better than that...

yeh...haha...sorry...ive decided that ur right, that kit kills the integrity of the Z. i think im going to to go with the nismo body kit. that retains the shape of the already beautiful Z and looks much nicer. thx.

I picked show. But I think it should be a bit of both. Show and go. Show only if its functional.

my picks for Go, but a lil show never hurt n e 1. like for show: clean rims (19s and good tires) , sound system (gotta have tunes) , maybe a bodykit (clean like Nismo's.

All bout the go ... N/A, SC or Turbo....and NITROUS!!!!!
(and suspension to match; very very key)

I would say go with show now, because the go is still not available to a strong degree yet.

aznxakuma: If you like that kit then go for it, you have to drive that car not us. I personally think that Veilside version 1 is a very nice clean kit, and that is probably the way I will go someday. Everybody is gettin the NISMO kit.

Both Kits (VS Ver 1. and NISMO) are very clean and uphold the intergrity of the Z. IMHO.

Hey aznxzkuma don't let other people talk you out of a kit you liked it is but a** ugly but hey different strokes for different folks
I personal don't like it way too riced out but hey everybody has there thing. Besides I would save money for more power the car already looks sweet. I would rather have all go and now show but a little show is nice to.

IMO Nismo looks better, my spoiler is being shipped today, but I'm sticking to just that, no skirts or lips. People at Bavaria Auto Parts have made a replica of the Nismo kit that should be less expensive than the original. You can check their phone# at the classified forum, "inexpensive nismo spoiler". I ordered from them, and my car hasn't arrived yet, maybe next week, so I think they'll arrive at the same time
P.S.- I don't like veilside, but there are a lot of kits out there.
