Custom hatch I saw while at Nurburgring
This is the same concept as my 67 Lotus Europa, looks like they copied it except for the engine holes behind the rear window. I thought of this myself, but of course I don't have the resources to produce it. I would be interested in buying this. Weight savings must be big.

I also e-mailed them for a price quote.
Heck, we just need one person to order one of these, then let one of the replica barns "borrow" it for a few days...
Anybody try to call them to see if they will be carying these (and price)? I'm at work and can't right now (yet I can still surf the forums...
) Man, I bet it's going to be HORRIBLY expensive...

I'd like to see some pics from further away. And yes, without that wing.

With a cut out/drop window like that, i would suspect it would definately affect airflow over the rear.
its similar to my sister's Del Sol...then you would really need a wing to keep that rear end from getting light at high speeds..

You're prob right that it will affect the airflow, though I'd think it would let air come down and hit the flat hatch area, creating more downforce? Notice the hatch also has a molded in OEM-like lip spoiler. Perhaps they were testing aerodynamics at the Nurburgring, hence the taller wing struts?
