I would be in for a standard carbon fiber hatch like this, changes the total look of the car IMHO.

We can make it but we would need 10 people to pre-order to make this piece. Rough Price cost... About $1000+(Super Rough Estimate) including the glass and This would be Vacuum bagged CF, not hand Laid so it will be functional in losing the Z some weight.

estimated weight would be about 18-20 lbs.

If I get enough PMs to make this I'll do it.

We offered to make this hatch almost 2 years ago now, back then nobody wanted it. Now everyone seems to think it looks good? We still have the plug we started.

.
Does that weight include the glass portion? Would it include real glass or lexan/acrylic?

We do have a totally new design hatch, but it's not the strosek unfortunatly. We were going to make it a strosek trunk with a mastergrade molded lip on the back.

To save on weight we would most-likely use Acrylic/or Lexan, We may also modify it somewhat, just some minor things.

If it was made with lexan would it be stronger then lexan in a standard CF hatch?? SO we could drive with the wondows down on the HWY...

That's what I was thinking. I actually like this hatch.

...minus the wing of course.

Since the rear piece for the glass isn't that big I think lexan will hold up just fine, However we would probably have to test that before selling it that way. I Assume if we used glass it would still be way light compared to other CF hatches since the area of the glass is much smaller.

Ive Only had a few PM's about the trunk so far and no one really seems interested, I guess thats why Mastergrade had to put the one they had on hold.
