Default Seat Issues

Greetings,

I will try to sound somewhat educated here.

I have a 2005 Base. My seat bottom is loose where it attaches to the tracks.

If I put tension on the adjusters, it will tighten up for awhile and then go back to the loose condition.

Does anyone else seem to have this issue?

Nissan replace the whole metal assembly. Should I request a whole new seat?

My thanks for any meaningful response.

I think there is a TSB on this... They add some washers or something... But not sure the TSB was for 2005...

Best thing to do is bring it to your dealer while it is loose...

Thanks. The 21 year's of experience tech stood on his head for 20 minute this afternoon with a flashlight with no answer. I looked at two other used Z's on the lot and both seats were similar in the way the seat moved on the base/tracks. I have an employee that has an '04 Track and his is rock solid.

We'll see.

Z's are still "new" to alot of people, and they have their own share of problems...

Ill see if I can find the service bullitin number for you so you can tell your dealer what to do

I had the TSB done on my '03 Track and the seat bottom still shifts a little. It's not bad, so I just try to ignore it. I actually just hear a little creak from it more than feel it shift.
