Update, 3:45am (some moron called {wrong number} and woke me up from my blisfully drunken slumber, so here I sit with a splitting headache and a case of the munchies...)

Well, I spent most of the day yesterday working on my Nismo wing install (What a PITA; still have a ways to go...), but DID get some done on the start button... in fact, pretty much all I hve left to do is connect the wires and reassemble the trim. It's been quite an easy job, actually. I'll get it finished up today and get the write-up going as soon as I can (gotta spend some quality time with the wife first, though).

Thanks.

This is the pre-wired kit I got:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB..._promot_widget

I'll post full details and pics of everything when I do my install thread.

Had to make a run to the store for a switch to interrupt the starter wire to disable key start, so I'm about to go get it wired up and hook it all up now. I decided not to mess with lighting the button at this time, as the hole in the button barrel wasn't big enough to accept an LED, though I could probably open it up a bit so it would. Once installed, it's easy to get it back out to do whatever you want to it, so I can mess with lighting later if I want.

I'm also debating whether I should leave the trim ring chrome or paint it to match the climate control trim rings... Opinions?

Yeah, I think that might be best, but I'm kind of afraid the paint wil get scratched up and look like crap with button usage, though. I'll leave it chrome for a while and see how I feel about it. I'm going to have to take it all apart again when I get my CF dash overlays, anyway.

Just two wires left to hook up and my interrupt switch, then I can button her up and test it out!

Thanks. Ok, I'll upload and post the vid in the install thread which I'm about to start working on.

Cost of the mod was mentioned earlier. You can buy the parts separately yourself or around $50 or you can get the pre-wired kit for $71 shipped. Other than that, the only other cost for me was $3 for an interrupt switch for the starter wire to disable key start, which is entirely optional.
