Default Exterior Pro's need your advice....

Alright, I'm getting down to the point where I believe I will be tracking less and will want to start putting some quality into the exterior of my 2003 Twin Turbo 350Z.

The main reason I didn't do quality exterior or "show" items before was because of the fact that I track my car, and "play around" more than I should and it wouldn't be worth to wreck it....

I do have the Nismo E-Type Wing though..

As some of you may know, my method to the moding madness has always been, how do I get the best of both (or more) worlds considering this is my daily driver and I flog it regularly so it needs to be reliable, and perform, and of course, be within budget.

I'm also not into obnoxious or "noisy" upgrades, I always like to be different when possible, not have the same damn thing that "everyone" else does.

I'll see if I can link in some pix of the way the car is now, I'd like to stay subtle/elegant if possible, but pick up in the area of "quality" and I need to front bumper to allow the best air flow for the IC.

If possible, i'd like to know that the body kit, or at least the front bumper, has been aerodynamicly tested.

it has to be urethane, or something better.. no more fiberglass....

Fitment is NOW key....

I'd like a single manufacturer and complete kit, however I am not opposed to mixing it up to get the final look.

As always, I'd appreciate any kind of sponsorship based discount, knowing that I always back my sponsors, and talk-it-up where and whenever possible.

If you are a reseller, or manufacturer and have any suggestions, let me have'm.

If you are an end user, point me in the right direction, and why you think this is a good kit and/or part.

looking forward to your suggestions and responses.

So you are wanting to replace your front bumper?

Why not go with Carbon Creations. Lightweight carbon fiber, and can be painted to show only the CF you want people to see or left alone, or etc, so many options.

^^

Carbon Creations light weight? hahahahahah. no.

he already has the "Drifter" front bumper from them, and from the picts.. the fitment doesnt look as good as it should be..

imho. keep the sides, get the V2 nismo replica front end with canards, and trip the portion over the exhaust... it'll look very nice (like how Bunit did it)

Get the Evo-R Nismo V2 replica front bumper. It's made out of hybrid FRP which is very flexible unlike FRP. Fitment seems to be good. Price $650 shipped.

Get the real deal Nismo USDM urethane sides. Price approx $450

As for the rear.... I have not found a rear I'm in love with yet. The Esprit is nice however. It is fiberglass, but in the rear it doesn't matter.

Definetly keep the Type E wing. Priceless!

Carbon Creations?

are you joking? Does "fitment" ring a bell?

That's the same kind of crap I have now....

I specifically have the kit I have now, because at the time I got it, no one had anything like that aside from the fact I was tracking the hell out of my car, and figured "something" would happen....

Now I'm looking for "quality"

yea, this is the drifter kit from them... I already explained why I got this kit, trust me, the fitment you see here, is probably the best one out there, my guys that did this work did an awesome job, but you can only "work" with it so much...

I don't really want to do exactly what someone else did, that's something i've always tried to avoid...

Hey Sbc!

The usual... the good news is that mega-project officially started to 'wrap up' on Friday 5:00PM! So it's time for so "me time" again....

I got a couple more weeks of hell to go through, and at least on the business side of the world, I'll be good.

You know I wanted that kit, but someone just threw up a bunch of pics of it on their car, and now, at least for me, it's NOT so HOT....

Killed it for me...

I briefly entertained that Roja kit, but I think the nose is too out there for my tastes...

you should get a vented hood to drop the temps under the hood and would go with with the aggresiveness of the spoiler.

Yea I've thought of that, in regards to the performance aspect but I tend to not like the look of the vented hoods I've seen so far, they are too ricey for my tastes...

I've always try to atempt a degree of subtleness, as much as the wing might look aggressive to some, for me it's mild and follows more of the lines of the car, than most wings that are in that "size" range...

I think most wings that size, or god forbid larger, are too obnoxious... I primarly got this wing because of the fact that it is Nismo, E-Type, it's rare, and it's quality....

Thanks for the suggestions/props on the wing, much appreciated!

I'm not familiar with the Evo-R bumper, I'll go check it out.

I may have to re-consider the Nismo Sides, I have also considered the Esprit.

Whatever kit you end up with, I would suggest changing up the graphics and lowering your car a bit more.

hey Rick!

I'm actually going to be changing up paint, and then graphics... The graphics was for the sponsors, although imho they look nice, unique, and subtle Andy @ StickerCity.com did an awesome Job.

back when I was talking with Jeff & Jason @ Performance they said I should talk to you about EDO/Defi.... I want to do the gauges next, and I gotta have the Heads Up Display! Would you be interested in helping me out?

The car is pretty low already, and since it's my daily, and I use it for work, I have a lot of places that I already can't go and/or have some challenges getting in/out of.

Great! I just think the sticker placement could be better, but we'll see how the new look will be.

About the EDO/ DEfi thing...I'm more than willing to direct you to the right person. When you are ready, shoot me over a pm and i'll give you my email address. Just have a proposal ready and I will get you in contact with the actual owner.

Lowering....

I'd love to lower it....

It's not stock height, plus with body kit, it takes up that gap...

i guess the pix make it seem taller than it is...

I'm still looking for a kit and or a combination of parts...
