Yeah but wait until you meet all the other ignorant idiot hillbillies out there who don't give a **** about your ride in a Walmart or mall parking lot!

Reminds me of when I went to Walmart in my ZR at 2am. I asked a mall security guy in one of those Ford Rangers with a flashing yellow light to watch my Z because it was vandalized before in this same parking lot. I came out 20 minutes later and he was parked by my car! I thanked him and went on my merry way

Insurance companies over here offer parking damage as part of their cover. It's expensive, but there's no deductible, and you get to choose the shop you want. It's only a matter of time before the service is offered in the US as well...

I've got to say it really really changed my motoring days for the better. I can park anywhere

Of course, now that I'm covered against parking damage, I never get dings anymore, no matter where I park

Hey Manu,
How's things in Geneva? I travel there every year to the SIHH show. I always stay at the President Wilson downtown. Take care!

Door dings are the worst! I had two, then decided to make my very own guards. I have them on ebay and have a U.S. Patent pending. Here is the ebay link.

Hey there

Glad you liked the show. Never been there personally, but planning to go and purchase something in this lifetime

It was a beautiful day today, 30c, lots of lovely chicks at the Bains des Paquis. I pass in front of the Wilson everyday and it's a nice place to be in the Z cruising near the lake.

Too bad you can't take the Z down here, there's a little road I could have shown you that I'm sure you'd enjoy Oh well...

All the best buddy, thanks for the message, take care of yourself as well.

Cheers,

Manu

Hey, these things work and have saved me a few door dings. They are well made, portable, and have suction cups to hold them on. Now, they are not the most attractive mod you can get, but they are not designed for that. I think all of us are very conscious when it comes to parking our Z's in a public lot. I can usually protect at least one side of the Z just by parking choice selection. If there is a parking side that is exposed and needs a little protection, then I can slap these on for the short period of time that I'm in that parking situation. These also work great in my tight garage parking.

They safe on the paint? I can't imagine any "magnet" sticking to the Z's doors to be very paint friendly. I'm talking on more of a "clearcoat" level here...

They have suction cups. So it shouldn't hurt the paint.

great idea, but not very time efficient - who wants to put those things on every time you park your car? Especially when you're running around all day going to multiple different places. Lazy asses like me probably wouldn't.

Another thing, those foam protector thingies need to go over our wheel wells too, I think.

yeah they are not very attractive to look at but i give them credit for no door dings. it doesnt take 2 seconds to put them on. i guess im just overly protective.
