Default Rear license plate frame suggestions?

I've read most all the posts suggesting various license plate frames...but none completely suite what I'm looking for. Anyone know of a brushed aluminum or better yet stainless steel plate (simple or maybe with a small "Z") which also incorporates or works with a clear or slightly smoked plate protector? I've seen just the plate frames I'm looking for....and even seen a plate cover that might do....but am afraid if I order one from Y and the other from X, well, they may not work together. Suggestions?

Thanks

OK...26 hits isn't much...but it wasn't a flashy bogus title either! Come on...someone has to have a solution...AudioPat where are you? I think I have something for you to manufacture/distribute!

I ordered plate frames with a clear cover from a catalog; think it was Autosport but not sure. Frame I oredered was red but I think they had a stainless steel version. Next time a catalog arrives I'll post info here.

IMHO, the black pearl frame looks great- especially on CS.
I decided to run a cheap frame w/ shield this winter, as road conditions can be harsh here in the north country.
I intend to buy another black pearl for the front, and have already bought a smoke shield for it. It was not a perfect fit, but easy to trim down the plastic shield. I put masking tape on each side of the shield before I trimmed. Even if you weren't perfect, the edge is going to reside inside the frame!!!
