Default varis air duct.

Would this modification give any hp since their is a hole in the front bumper, thus making more air travel directly into the engine? If so, approximately how much?

IMO, I think it just adds cooler air going to the air filter. Not much of a horsepower gain from what I read on these forums. Its just a visual mod.

im almost 100% sure that having the air duct during rain, has any negative effects on the intake...

C'mon guys get real. Even with a pop-charger behind it youd have to submerge the filter in water to hydralock the motor. Ive run this setup for a while with no issues. Unless your driving in a torrential downpour which you shouldnt be in anyway, AND the rain is moving toward you, AND you can direct it all into that hole, AND through the front radiator support area into the filter you'll be fine. To date nobody has had issues with it.

I agree, I have never had an issue with mine. I have washed my car with the engine running and still had no problems.

If one hole in the front bumper gives you 5 horsepower, then two should be good for 10.

I am planning to do this soon, I have recently installed my Stillen S/C with an Injen Short ram intake. I think this air duct will bring colder air into the intake and gain more power form the S/C. Might replace the filter with a popcharger as well due to its design the air coming in will be sucked directly into the front of the filter vs. the Injen where it is sucked in from the sides. I don't really care about the gains but deff. bringing in colder air to prevent detonation. Opinions?
