Default What is under this panel (picture included)

Hi I have a Bel RX65 with a hardwire smartcord. I want to flush mount the mute button and warning light module into this panel. I think it will be real funtional and also look tight almighty. I have a couple of questions for the gurus out there though.
1)Will it pry/pop right out?
2)If I screw it up will I be able to purchase a replacement piece from the dealership?

It is an '06 Base by the way.

I guess this is where the traction control functions go on the other models? Thanks in advance for your help.

Yeah, just pull up the shifter trim ring and push it up from underneath.

That might get in the way, and you might mute it unintentionally.

Yes, that's where the heated seat controls go. Use the stero install instructions (many threads here) to remove the panel (pops around the shifter).

I know it's off topic, but heated seats in a sport car just doesn't make sence to me?

its the heated seats but WEIT!!!!

under there is another pieve of plastic that holds the buttons! if you want to drill trough it for your botton, I highly recomend you lift the center console and look at it underneath. I say this b/c under that panel is another hard panel that has webs in certain places, and will make you mounting your button imposible. Trust me b/c i just installed 3 buttons there yesterday

I'm surprised that's coming from someone who lives "too far up north"

Well the panel popped out after lifting up on the shifter ring and pushing it up from underneath. There is a plastic bracket under there that looks like it is meant to hold three rocker switches in a vertical fashion. I will have to cut that backet a little if I decide to move forward with the smartcord mute install. The good news is that a replacement panel can be purchased at the Nissan dealership for 10 dollars if I screw this one up or don't like the install. I will post some pics if I do go forward with it.

Thanks to everybody for there help.
