Default 350z Hitch

Ok Guys, dont flame this or remove this (please!).

If you dont want to read it or wanna flame - then please move to the next post about the 16-17 year old having a hard time on picking a Z or G as his first car.

This thread is meant for serious conversation and info sharing. I've already done my research on this forum and others but wanted more opinions.

Here it goes..

I have a 2005 350z. (M/T) The year i mention because from my research i found out that some of the frames and bumber work on a 03-04 to 05 differ.

I also own a sport bike. I dont do any AX days with my car, but i do track days with my car. I feel bad everytime i have to ask one of my friends if they can tow my bike to the events. I'd like to be able to tow my bike behind my Z.

So here are my questions for all you guys.

1) What do i need to get in order to two a 400-450 lbs bike?

2) What trailer (in size) would you recommend i get? (ex: 4X8,5X8) If you have any pictures please post up or email me the links.

3) Can some one quickly give me the 101 on the whole trailering stuff? What part is the hitch? I know what the ball part is? What exactly does a Tow Package consist of? What's what - in a para is what i ask. Thanks

4) I cant afford all the Stealth type Z hitches, that some members are selling. They are nice, but i dont think i can afford them at the moment. Does any body know of a cheaper way or product? Say maybe under $250? Any pictures or links would be greatly appreciated.

5) Any concerns or safety issues i should be aware of? Such as bumber damage? Frame damage? Driving issues? Please advice, or discuss.

Thanks again guys.

Funny thing is i've had over 20 views on this page. 5 people contact me for help when i figure it out. But ZERO wanting to help.

Is there not anyone that has been there done that and can help a few fellow Z owners?!

last i exchanged pm's with him, he said he would be kind enough to have some made for us if enough people sign up to cover the high cost of materials.

Those are really very expensive. If you read my initial post - i pretty much wanted something under $250. I dont see a reason to pay over $450 for a tow kit.

Its just way overpriced in my opinion.

& on top of that the weight limits wont be enough to suit my needs, my bike weighs about 450 lbs wet (approx). And if he's saying the limit is 650 lbs. I'm not gonna take that risk.

Anyone have any other ideas? Links? Pictures? to other hitch installs?
