Default license plate on front bumper

RE: if i can turn back time

How many of you guys had holes drilled into your front bumper to accommodate the plates? when i bought it the dealer gave me the choice to have or not have the license plate bracket installed. ive heard of cops giving owners a hard time because they dont have front plates. now i'm regretting it. my Z is not as clean as other ones w/out the bracket.

I'd rather pay the ticket than have a front plate!

There are several alternatives including the Z-Bracket.

the metal license plate acts like a guillotine when placed on the dashboard during an head on accident and/or when the airbag deploys.

ugh...i took off my front plastic braket to see what the holes looked like underneath. I found TWO sets of holes! One set for the bracket and one set to screw the plate directly on to the bumper

None of the holes were drilled cleanly either. It looks like someone just took self-tapping screws and went to town with a philips head. Friggin previous owner!

After paying my first fine ($50) for no front plate, I got the Z-bracket. No holes in the front bumper.
