ok...slow down....do a search in the Body/Exterior forum. There are several good write ups. You do not need to take off the front bumper. An exacto knife porbably wont cut through your bumper. I used a dremmel, BUT FIRST PRACTICED on some old plastic I had laying around the house. Read the write-up, drink a beer, and go for it. ....drew

A fresh blade will cut through it easily.

i got the tube at www.evo-r.net . go to the 350z an then the bottom middle will be the air duct, click on that an its the second one.
BTW, for anyone with an air duct...im not sure if you gain a little power or any at all, but i was just curious to know if you noticed anything different while driving..in example, louder? etc

Not sure about a little Exacto blade; I did an install for a friend and used a utlity knife with a fresh blade. Works like a charm. For the connector tube, you don't need to take the bumper off, but you'll have to loosen everything holding it on on the driver's side and accross the front so you can pull the bumper away a bit in order to get the tube in there.

For this job, a sharp blade works best, IMO. Dremel cutting disc melts plastic, leaves burrs and makes a mess and one of those sideways cutting drill bits is hard to control direction. I just traced the template with a dry-erase marker and cut it with the utility knife in under a minute. Cut and fit was perfect.

It was mentioned above. You'll need to loosen the bumper some on the driver's side to allow you to get the duct in there. The best way to secure the duct though is to take off the bumper, but either way will work.
