Question Side skirt white rivets

i was trying to put on my greddy sides and the white rivets seemed to be to short to fit in fully to lock it in. Im sure i can cut the oval part off the top of the rivet to make it fit but then i wont be able to put the stock ones back on if i need to. Is there anyway i can buy some for the greddy sides?

When I had my greddy skirts I took off the white gromits and used to clip/screw that came with the kit.

I found the same clips that greddy includes in there kits over at Lowes.
They are the black plastic clips that you have to screw in with a Philips screw driver.
If you need a picture let me know, I still have a hand full of them I purchased

Maybe this picture will help you out. Are these the white grommets you are talking about? They are actually comprised of two parts: the part that is on the side skirt (the "male" part) and the hole in the side of the car (the "female" part). If they are, then you may be able to replace them with one of the "pop rivets" that you posted above. LMK.

BTW, I did a DIY on removing the side skirts and it should show up in my signature (below) and if you click it, it should take you to that thread. Hopefully that will help you out.

Yes mine are the same on my 03 350Z.
Take the female gromets out and use the one's I pictured above to attach the skirts to the holes that the female gromets were at.

BTW- if you do not need the gromets anymore let me know I can use some.
I threw mine away

I hope it (my guide) helped. My car is actually a 2003 (#1569).

BTW, the new skirts I installed on my car (Central 20) had holes in place of the white "male" fasteners so I removed the female grommets with some needle nose pliers. The remaining hole was almost a perfect fit for the "pop rivets" that you can pick up at any Nissan dealer (you will want the smaller ones). For each hole I did have to take a large screwdriver and open the hole up just a little bit and the pop rivets fit perfectly snug when pushed in.

Over at Lowes go to where they have all of there screws, nuts, nails, wahers...etc in that section of the store they'll have a wall of draws, the draws have pics on them displaying what each draw has.
Just look threw them or print the pics I posted and take it to them

Is this a replica sides or the real one? If it's not, you'll be lucky to line up 'em holes to the factory ones. Try to sand the bumpy part and use double sided tape to secure it.
