Post ' Grille Tech '

Okay people. I finally installed and took some pics of one of the GRILLE TECH Grills www.grille-tech.com I received. I have ALL 3 of the grills offered for the 350Z: Race (Circular-Mesh), Diamond-Cut, Black Race (Circular-Mesh)!
Those interested will receive a discount off the regular purchase price! "Details to Follow Soon..."
Feel free to contact Chris (Grille-Tech) for even more details: s2kdriver@hotmail.com

*NOTE* In an effort to take pics with all of the Grilles (3) I have/will done a "temporary install". Meaning: the grilles are held in place with 'zip-ties' (VERY secure by the way!) but instead of doing the proper and more stealth install, (remove bumper and loop them from the inside) I have looped the 'zip-ties' from the ootside of the stock grille (which secures the screen in place) and you may notice the little knot/zip-tie catch from the outside photos. HOWEVER! I must tell you guys, that quite honestly, I personally will not be removing my bumper for whichever grille I decide to use! Why? Because the 'zip-ties' come in silver or black and you really can't see them unless you are VERY close up on the car! Even then it still blends in just fine for me! In other words: A REALLY nice 'mod' that can be performed in a few minutes!!! How sweet is that? I can in all honesty say the "fit & finish" is EXCELLENT! Once you install it, it's secure and tight. If you decide to mount them as I've suggested, you can easily remove it/them by simply cutting the ties from the outside with wire cutters!
Feel free to post up any questions and/or comments!
These 1st pics is with the race-style grille...

it looks pretty good except for that black piece of trim around the outside of the grill. i guess i would have to see it in person to see how noticeable it is.

Default Street Scene Grille

TXSTYLE,
I'm in Irving and have the Street Scene grille on my Silvestone 350z. By comparison, the Grille-Tech looks homemade - no offense.

I would say BLACK! The silver would take away from the beautiful color of yours.

Uhhhhhhhhhhhh? Non taken. That's your opinion my friend! And you are entitled to it. It is my opinion (and many others who have seen my car since the install) that it looks "VERY Sweet!" So...... It's all good!

...didn't say it doesn't look sweet on your car, or that others wouldn't like it. It's a matter of taste; personally, I don't think it looks bad. I've seen both grilles, and the Grille-Tech clearly has a 'less finished' look than the Street Scene. Call it an opinion. The Grille-Tech is admittedly half the cost, though.

Default Thanks Tex

Been in the market for one of these. I think they look sweet.

My order has been placed just now. 69 out the door.

Tell them to ship it out (hook me up bro!)

Would like it on by race day. I went with silver race style!

Would this be good protection for the A/C condenser? That would be my sole reason for ordering the grille.

I would say YES! The material is sturdy yet lite, and will block out tons of more potential debris.

Just installed my new Grille Tech Grill. It fit perfectly. Use the tie strips supplied and it worked out great. I ordered the Race style in black. It was easy to install. It was shipped in perfect condition. It doesn't look ricey at all. Great investment to keep the bugs and debris out from getting into the front of the radiator. Thanks for the heads up TXSTYLE.

Post a pic for us, I'm waiting for silver zip ties, I'm in no rush I am burnt on these 12 hour alert shifts. Mine is sitting in my trunk with the Eibach springs.

Thumbs down cheap grill scams on eBay

This grill looks much nicer than the one I bought on eBay recently.

I am sending it back after nearly LMAO when I first opened it.
It was literally a piece of gutter guard flimsy metal mesh with a slit plastic tubing around it.

The tubing was not even attached to the metal mesh, - just hanging off loosly.
The tubing was still wet from being spray-painted silver and I got silver paint all over my hands just from opening it out of the package. Like I was going to install that thing!
Even if this would have not been such a piece of junk, I would not have the heart to drill holes into the front end of my beautiful new Z car to have put the zip ties into it.

If you are looking to purchase a new grill for your 350Z , my advice after being burned is to look at it up close first.

I am not going to bash the seller just yet, since they are initially offering now to give me a refund. We shall see though.

Just a warning- Good Luck!
