blacking out headlights
I am really wanting to black out my headlights but i dont want to pay the $650 or so for some people on the boards to do them so i took them to a local body shop that does a lot of custom work and i asked them about doing it and they said they would do it but they said that there is a chance of the paint cracking because of the heat from the headlights. Is this a problem?
Not if they paint it correctly. If anything, you should be more worried that they reseal it properly so it doesn't get condensation. BTW...who's charging $650? You can go to MrZipps.com & have it done for $200-$300. There is also another guy here that does custom headlights for around that pricerange & I think his SN is LightWerkz. I think the only problem for you is if you are okay with the downtime while your headlights are out. GL!

ebay tint look slike ****. It looks like the plastic is greying out and condensing from the inside. The bezel paint looks best cuz it retained the shine on the plastic and the rainbow effect caused by the curving casing. Also, it looks plain old badass.
