Dumb Armrest Question
I want to replace the material on my black armrest - I searched this site, as well as the manual, but could not find any removal info. Do they just pop off? I don't want to start prying, and screw something up.
As far as I can remember from removing my dash was that there's a screw that you can reach when you remove the ashtray. Thats the main one. I think there might be a couple more towards the back as well, although I never had to get that far back so I'm really not sure. I do remember looking at it (I was trying to understand what they did) - and I believe there are 2 other screws that are screwed in on the sides of the center console towards the very back - the only way you can really access them is to slide your seats as far forward as they can.
The trick to disassembly is that the light gray plastic bevel around the shift **** just pops up. Give it a little bit of a tug - and up it comes.
I didn't have a digital camera while I was doing my stereo install so I don't have any pics, but if you happen to have one, pics while you're removing the parts would probably be greatly appreciated!
Good luck

Thanks for the reply - I guess I should have been more specific:
I need to remove the armrests on the doors, not the console.

Thanks for the link - the words were a little confusing ("lift up the cover to the left nearest the door"), but the pix on that link is helpful.
I was just nervous about attacking it with a crowbar. Thanks again for the info.
