I got my RAZO here: http://www.cardomain.com/item/RAZRA93
I got the Dojo suede shift boot at Pep Boys - the quality is pretty good

Is there a reason I can't just buy the manual version of the center console piece? (the finish plate I think it's called)

Mrpratt help me out on this, or anyone
I have been contemplating doing this for some time, and just taking out that big clunky plastic piece that sits there under the shifter... since shift lock is there I am not sure if it is possible, but that would be the only reason not to move it, since it just bolts down to the console.

if you removed that then when you got the 6speed console then it would look stock.

I only left it because of shift lock, don't know what that will do if you disconnect the wires or cut them... if you want to be brave and try it out let me know how it goes other than that there isn't any reason a 6speed console wouldn't fit (that I know of)

Question Hey guys...

love this thread....what do you think of this set up>? will this combo work?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/350Z-...spagenameZWD1V

+

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/RAZO-...spagenameZWDVW

I was also thinking of maybe just picking up an OEM '06 shift boot from the dealer (if they have one) and possibly getting some custom stitching while still using the Razo ****.

What do you guys think? Input please.

Question Hey...

thanks for the quick reply. I have never done this before so I wasn't sure if the "fit and finish" would be proper. So, it looks like that **** will fit the boot properly...then I thought might as well get the matching e-brake boot just to set things right.

Any other input from others? What about getting an OEM shift boot from a dealer instead? This might not be as good b/c then the shift and e-brake won't match.

I guess my main concern is the **** fitting correctly w/ the boot. Thoughts?

Thanks for your help on this one guys.

I really like the look of the ebay shift boot and e brake boot. Thinking about buying one for my ZR. Not sure about the razo ****, though. Maybe it will grow on me.

but I just thought of something...the stitching in the seats is orange therefore, red in those pieces would seriously clash. Might go w/ a silver or something.

I'm weary of the the 5AT/6MT debate. We bought what we bought, and if I want to improve, IMO, the appearance of my interior, then I don't give a damn about the "mockers". My car runs just fine w/ all my N/A mods and is plenty fast, even in AT, for my DD usage and occasional (just for fun) tracking.
If I want a black leather w/ red stitching boot, then who here can tell me I'm a poser???
I'm not trying to convince anyone my car is MT--just look @ the pedals.

Good work there Sherlock. Its not like that info was posted for all to see, right?

Also, learn to drive properly, quit being a poser with an auto, and stop taking your anger out on me.

I've got the Momo stick and boot, and I honestly do not give a flying flack what anyone else thinks. I think it looks good and I'm happy with the result.

I was at a Jethro Tull concert many years ago, and between songs he told little stories. One funny one stuck with me. To make a long story short:

My new girlfriend and I got naked the other night. She took one look at me and said "who do you plan to please with that?" I replied.."myself".

End of story.
