Default Nismo Spoiler Questions.

Whats up guys, so after about a year of ownership I finally decided to keep my Z. I was contemplating selling it cause we are trying to have kids and I am not sure if having just one *** hauler Chrysler Pacifica would be enough since the wife and I both work. So anyways now that im keeping it (until i have no choice) i have decided to start doing some mods. Iv'e got the Bronze Nismos on her already, the Pop Charger, and the Nismo Exhaust is on the way. The next item I will be looking to get is a spoiler since I have none at this point and I really like the lines of the car with the spoiler.
Im looking to get the nismo spoiler. I have seen them around for about 375-450 unpainted. I have also seen on Ebay, copies of the spoiler on ebay for half the price, and since I do my own painting I can get one of these non nismo spoilers and paint it for less than the price of an authentic unpainted spoiler. Has anyone bought any of these knock off Nismo Spoilers. If you have are they good quality and are you satisfied with you purchase, or should I just shell out the cash for the real deal? I have no problem spending money for quality Nismo parts but if I can find the same thing without sacrificing quality for half the price then why not.
Heres an example of the spoiler I will be looking to get.

Not that I would buy this exact brand but the knock offs tend to run about $200 shipped. Thanks in advance for your inputs.

Not having purchased one of these I can only tell you what i have read on the forum. I am still a neewb so I am still trying to learn the ropes. I have wondered the same thing and as far as i can tell from reading through other threads......DON'T DO IT.

Buy the real deal or you will spend more money prepping and getting it to fit. From reading on here i have deduced that ebay is not the place to buy non-name brand parts for our Z's. If you had, lets say a civic, go right on ahead.

Once again, I have not bought one of these, its only what i have heard.

I would wait to make your decision until you hear from someone who has personally installed, or tried to install one of these spoliers.

BTW: Congrats on your soon-to-be new family!

+1 I am not a fan of the nismo spoiler myself but it really needs the full kit otherwise the car looks top heavy.

Get a Nismo, I put one on my car about 3 mos. ago and it looks incredible.....the fitment was perfect and when it comes to body mods you don't want bad fitment....

My nismo wing is the only replica part I have on my car. I got it from VIS and it was in pretty good shape. It took some prep but not much and it looks/fits flawless.

Get an evo-r cf one. I know lots of people have gotten them and liked them. I ordered one and am waiting to get it. I think it was like 600 total including shipping. One of the other sponsors sells them as well.

Go to the marketplace and click on exterior or whatever it says and look there to find good deals

You get what you pay for. Those crappy, cheap eBay Nismo knock-offs will be exactly that; cheap and crappy. Invest in either the genuine piece, or at the very least, the JDM replica Performance sells.

i bought that exact wing ur looking at now, i got it w/ a chunk chipped off (i fixed it w/ sum fiberglass) fitment was pretty good actually, overall not that bad, i figured if it was terrible, id just use it as a test piece of some sort or sell it, but overall not so bad.

Thanks for the input guys. It looks like I will probably go with the official NISMO spoiler, since there have seemed to be some quality and fit issues with the knock off. Plus I have to admit there is a small bit of pride in knowing the car has all genuine nismo parts. Except for the intake of course. Only reason I went with Pop Charger was for Emmissions/street legal issues. Might just have to see if we could get some kind of group buy from one of our vendors on here for the Nismo spoiler.
Thanks

Do you have the OEM spoiler, if so, you may have drilling hole issues?

Nope Nismo made a new version just for those with the OEM spoiler so its no longer a prob

You can get a replica that will fit perfectly. I know several people have gotten the evo-r cf painted/unpainted and it fits fine.

Just make sure you go thru a reputable company
