Default Custom steering wheel owners: how much closer is your wheel now?

Hi folks Thx for reading

For those of you with custom steering wheels (Momo, Nardi, Sparco, etc).. which boss/adapter are you using (short, regular, etc) and what brand of hub (Momo, Rapfix, etc.)?

Is the steering wheel closer to you than stock? If so, how much? 0.5"? more? less?

I'd like to get my wheel a bit closer to me, especially with this custom seat, which places me in a bit more of a rocked-back position over stock. I can reach the stock wheel fine, but if it were a half inch or a little more closer to me it would be ideal, and I could get straighter legs on the pedals and better angle in my elbows for the wheel.

Thanks in advance

It really depends on the hub you purchased with it. I just bought a Momo wheel with a Works Bell QR hub kit from Aspec.com. They offer different length hubs for the application you want. Call and speak to Logan there as he is very helpful.

Yes, I've spoken with Aspec guys, and plan to purchase from them when I get some feedback based on experience.

Just want to know how much closer the wheel is and how it feels in day to day driving. Thx!

It depends on how much closer you want to get.

If you want something thats alot closer(couple inches).

Get:

Regular works bell hub
Works bell/raphix quick release
Nardi Sport Rally(deep corn) steering wheel

and if closer to you, but not to much like the setup above...

get:

Short works bell hub
Raphix quickrelease.
any aftermarket steering wheel as long its not offseted(sp?) like the nardi deep corn or momo evo 8

Got mine from c2auto.com

Right now I'm looking at the Nardi Sport Rally Deep Corn 330mm Black Suede - Red Stitch.

I want to put it on the Rapfix BLS flip-hub
http://www.worksbell.co.jp/wb&np/gtc/index.html

I've been told by Aspec that the BLS with a short hub adapter ends up about the same as a custom wheel with a regular hub adapter, or maybe a little closer.

How closer are these "deep corn" wheels? Do they look ridiculous? The one I want looks sweet, but they show no side views.

I don't want the wheel too close to me. But damn I love that suede/red-stitch and 3-split spoke Nardi Sport Rally wheel.

Any tips on what I'm in for if I a get a deep-corn wheel?
