Its the goblins of yester Z that are attacking you because previous 240z owners never had the chance to own cell phones because well they either didn't exist or where 200lbs lol

could it be that you start the car when you get on the phone? the doors automatically lock after the car is started.. windows up or down. Could be just coincidence that it happened when the windows were down, and that you just didn't have the car started when the windows were up?

Is this "Doors automatically lock when the engine starts" and 06 thing? I had to add a KPTech box to do that with my Z.

I do know that the alarm will passive arm with the right conditions, (like disarming the alarm and not opening the doors) I don't remember what they all are, its in the manual.

Nope.. mine is an 03.. I have an after market alarm as well and yes the doors do lock after disarming and not opening the doors but I don't think it has anything to do with the doors locking when I start the car. (maybe its not when the engine is started but when the key is turned to the on position? Don't think this is because of the alarm..)

It has something to do with your aftermarket alarm. The original theft deterent system will not lock or unlock with the windows being up or down.

i dont have any aftermarket alarm. i was on my phone with the windows down, i turned my engine off, talked on the phone some more for about a minute, and then all of a sudden the doors locked. i tried again, and again the doors locked again.
