I have a 04 base model and I put in an after market HID kit but forgot what brand it was. I know it the brand with a zebra on the box. I blew one of the bulb and need to replace it but don't know how to tell if its a d2s or a d2r bulb.

where can I get the bulbs for a good price?

Call the place you bought them from. Theres not enough info here to answer your question.

 

D2R have a portion of the bulb painted to reduce glare. D2S bulbs are clear with no painting on them. Just look to see if there is paint on them

I just remembered that it was a bright star kit that I use. Does anyone know what bulb they use? thanks

you know that little stick thing the resides to the side of it... does the position of it installed in the projectors reflect the output?

 

I don't think a D2S or D2R will fit a base model housing.
