Default Shifter loose after dealer visit...

Got my car back from an overnite at the dealer to get the clicking rear end fixed, and noticed when i got home that the shifter now could easily be twisted left to right!! No damage to it, and i don't think anything they had to do to the rear end for the clicking would involve the shifter! Any suggestions, am i missing something here?? Going back tomorrow so they can fix it. Stock **** by the way.

But the boot is turning too?? I'd like to do that but i don't wanna spin it too hard cause it'll twist the boot to the point of ripping. Is there any reason they would of had to loosen it to fix the rear end??? It was tight like from the factory when i dropped it off last night. I know this is a dumb think to ***** about, but i don't like getting my car back worse off then when i droppit it off.

I had an impossible time getting my stock **** off, and now my nismo ti **** wont tighten all the way. it will twist when i shift. Tried turing it all the way but it just continues to spin. Contemplating putting a little lock-tite on it. Any suggestions?
