Default Heated Mirrors

I'm so sick of having my mirrors fogged up and condensed on in the morning. I leave for work early and always have condensation on my mirrors preventing their use. My last car had heated mirrors and they were great. Does anyone know of any way to heat these mirrors to remove the condensation?

I know I can just wipe them each morning, but that's kind of a hassle and doesn't allow me to tinker with my car. I was thinking of putting some kind of element back there to heat the mirrors that would be manually controlled by a switch I run into the car. Anyone think that will work or have any tips? Might be a stupid idea but I thought I'd put it out there.

Also, if anyone has a junk mirror they want to sell or give me let me know. Maybe someone has one if they upgraded to carbon fiber mirrors or something. Thanks

all 06 and (I think) 05 had heated mirrors, before that only upper models had them.

I understand that it comes on with the defroster, but my base 2003 Z has no heated mirrors. I can defrost to my hearts content--mirrors stay fogged

I noticed when I installed my tweeters that there were extra wires going to the mirrors that were not connected. It may be possible to just order the mirrors from a collision parts house but I could be wrong.
