I searched the how to's and didn't see. I need to replace the vent in my driver's side door. The louvers are gone (previous owner) And unfortunatly it seems i have to buy the whole deal! At least the part with the silver ring that you can turn left and right. ($44.00 ) Anyone ever do this?? I tried just pulling onit but it didn't wanna budge. I'm hoping i don't have to remove the whole door panel. Thanks!!

 

I think you have to pull the door panel...it's not hard though

 

That's what i was afraid of. Every car i have pulled a door panel off of always ended up rattling or got a clip broke. I'll check out the how too section. Thanks!

 

takin the doors off is real easy...just a couple bolts and then it just pops off...then unscrew the whole vent piece from the back.

 

+1 on taking the door off.

 

The door is easy as heck to take off, but yes it is mounted in the door panel.
