Default Just installed 5/16 Spacer, Feeling a slight vibration in Steering wheel above 75

hey guys I just installed a spacer from motordyne this weekend. I had read on here that if the strut bar isn't properly tensioned after reinstallation that it can cause vibrations. I think I might have been looking for this after the install and that may be why I'm feeling it, but when i got on the freeway and got above 75 a felt a very slight vibration in the steering wheel. Was this always there or do I need to adjust my strut bar? If so what adjustments should i make?

Make sure that your strut bar is not touching your upper plenum. There should be at least a 2mm gap in between to allow the engine to move a little bit. Use all the washers that were provided, and adjust the jam nuts on the left side of the strut bar.

You can also try taking off the strut bar completely and driving it to 75mph or whatever speed you felt the vibration to see if it's actually the strut bar that's vibrating. Good luck!

do the strut bar bolts have to be torqued down to a certain spec? I thought it was jus tthe plenum bolts that you had to use the torque qrench on.

I have the Motordyne 5/16 spacer and I hit 140mph today there was no vibrations. Maybe your wheels need balancing.

yeah i don't hear a rattling or rubbing sound at all. I'm thinking it may have been when i hit a crucial pothole in the road a week or two ago and this is my first time noticing the vibration since it was so slight an I'm looking for it now. Could the pothole have thrown me off balance?
