Picking my car (04 touring) up at the dealer yesterday and noticed a couple new convertables with metal trimmed rings on the heater control.

In looking through the Nissan parts catalog on the Performance site, all I can see is the heater control, but that looks like the whole cluster, not just the rings themselves? If thats the case, can I order it for a different model?

 

You are seeing the difference between the '03-'05 controls and the restyled '06 controls. I don't believe you can swap the newer ones in for the older ones, due to other differences.

Has anyone confirmed this. I was wondering about changing the ***** myself. They can't be too much different. No one on this board has tried it yet?

 

It's not just the ***** that are different, but the panel they go into and I don't think you can just buy the *****.

 

I realize the 2006 panel and console is different than the 2033-05 models but most of the time the ***** just pull straight off so I figured they might be interchangeable. I appreciate the reply. I didn't want to start a new thread when this one was already created. Anyone else know for sure these will not fit.

 

Thats what I was hoping for. But I looked in the Nissan parts catalog and it looks like you can only buy the heater console itself (including *****) for $150 or so. I'd love to know if they are interchangeable.
