a little more reserch indicates the problen could be with the body control module. BCM.

its a stupid hunch...
a friend of mine owns a nissan spec v sentra.
after his aftermarket radio got stolen, i helped him put back in the stock radio.
for some reason, there is a lead to the radio that had to do with his interior lighting. i guess it intercepts whether the outside headlights go on and dim the radio illumination.

just a thought....your car have an aftermarket HU?

Very interesting idea! Mine dosen't have a aftemarket radio although I do have an Aux Niss to the stock bose for my car PC.

I Have my lights working again. by disconnecting the battery for a few mins then reconnecting. so it think the BCM may just have been confused.. The TSB indicates that this fix could be temporary, time will tell..

Default I was told today that my BCM was out also

I had to take my 2003 350z in to get the fuel filler fix
and the interior lights were out also and the dealer
told me the BCM was out but did not offer to fix it
on a TSB. I would like to find it myself.

My car recently had this issue. Will the dealership perform this TSB (NTB03001) free for people whose cars are out of warranty???

Thanks in advance.
