I just got my JDM tailights and have ran into a snag. I have an 04 and noticed the plug on my tail harness is a little different than the ones on the new tails. I was wondering if anyone knows a solution to this problem. I am going to look more into it tomorrow when I maybe can get time. I can figure it out but want some info from people that have done it before. I don't want to do it the long way if I can help it.

i put the regular 06 LED lights in my 03. i just used one of the plugs. took like 5 mins to install.
if you didnt really look at it that long i bet you just grabbed the other plug. if you go back and look you should see two plugs on each side. the larger one fits

You also have to shave down a couple of plastic ridges on the large plugs as they are reversed on the JDM tail-lights (at least on the '06 models). This takes about 5 minutes, tops. No change should be needed to the wiring, though.

^ you ordered the clear JDM? i guess you will have to shave off those ends like the pics above. to be honest i hadnt ever seen the clear JDMs in person and wasnt aware of having to shave down the plugs. i thought the original poster was talking about the 1 plug verse 2.

I finished putting them on yesterday. It was easy but I had to do it one handed. Instead of actually grinding off the tabs I used a razor blade. I was trying to beat the rain and cut the **** out of my left thumb. Other than that it was super easy and clean. I think it matches my PPW paint rather well. Thanks for the help guys.
