Question Opnions on Gauge install mock-up

I am getting a stereo installed in a few weeks, and will have the installer fab a gauge mount in the Nav cubby. I mocked up the install using cardboard just to see what it would look like. After seeing it, I think it would look better if the gauges were angled to match the triple pod gauges, but the installer says is will be about 3 times the cost. What does the board think of flat mounting the gauges as opposed to getting them angled to match the factory gauge pods?

Thanks for your opnions.

Autometer sells angled rings to put behind the gauge faces to angle them. They are relativly cheap. Yes, angle them. Don't see why it would be three times the cost - just put the angle rings on and your done.

Ebay - pack of 3 - $7.95 - come in both diameters.

Yeah, I say go angled; it'll be a cleaner look. Show those angled rings to your installer and see what he has to say then about price.

Unless you are using a remote antenna for that V1 it is not going to work worth a damn. Just trying to help.
