nice purchases! i am eventually going to get an autotecknic cooling plate - first i am going to get a cf front lip, not sure what kind, and in january my nismo v2 wing with the CF center blade will be here... combined with veilside V1 CF underwings on the sides... it will be nice perhaps a varis intake and canards as well, in CF of course lol.

I love CF, if you couldn't tell

yep, that is autotecknic's ebay store. buying directly from them is usually $10 or so cheaper than anywhere else.

I never heard of them till I found this on E-bay. Did my research and looks like a good company.

Question Hey Robert K...

CF pieces looking nice. I am going all CF (pillars, engine bay etc...)

Let me know how the install on the air guide goes. If there are any issues...

Thanks.

Well I just ordered everything today. Install should be pretty simple; remove the plastic retainers, lay the shroud down, reinstall the retainers.

Thumbs up true true...

I am just concerned with the "amount of force" to remove the retainers...don't want to hurt anything. You get the idea...

There is a trick to remove the retainers. They can only be removed when the retainer top is halfway up.

exactly... and if you break one of the retainers they are $.75 from the dealer lol

autotecknic makes some good stuff... their CF side emblem fillers are really nice, and their eyelines are really nice (another thing I will be getting sometime soon), not sure what else they make besides that and the cooling plate... but "aphase_auto" on ebay is the company istelf.

I like that cooling plate as well, but I know a couple of guys with it and after a while it yellows pretty badly, due to the engine heat, I guess...

yeah when i put my cf engine cover on someone said his friends had faded pretty badly because of the heat

but if you have a painted engine cover (like I used to) it cracks anyway, so there really isn't anything you can do.

I may end up not keeping it on all the time.

Yeah, but that kind of defeats the purpose of having a nice CF piece to begin with... might as well just get one of the Aluminum ones, then.
