So does anyone have a far away shot of the antenna on the car or what? It looks really good up close, but I just want to check it out from afar...

on ptuning.com is it the billet aluminum (shorty) item # pt39610?

i ask this b/c when i was about to order it... when i clicked the buy button... the only option it gave me was the billet black 6 1/2 ... i want the one with the black in the middle and silver tip and base....after i view the item... i click buy ... but it says i'm buying item #39600 not 39610....does this matter?

I just got my Billet aluminum from P Tuning - looks very nice. Haven't installed it yet so will watch for that contact issue and use a washer if I have to - good tip Devaraj. I believe the Shorty is not in stock yet but IMO I prefer the standard 'Turbo Antenna' they offer. The shorty looked just 'wrong' to me - too conical. I have a CS Track so had to get the aluminum. Great service, great product and great price from P Tuning guys.

Did you have to shorten the screw or use a washer to get a reception ? Is this the p tunning antenna ?

thats the same one i got... i didn't need a washer or anything... i just screwed it in and boom i was done...

installation was moderate....

note when screwing off the stock antenna twist to the left...
and when screwing on the stock antenna twist to the right... i know i know this sounds a lil tricky but you'll get the hang of it

I think I'de rather shave the antenna off as a whole, and relocate it behind a body panel somewhere.

Or just get a black one. I dunno.

Just to throw it in, the antenna on my 2002 civic is built into the rear window, better reception than any othe antenna I've ever heard. Just planting the seeds of ideas.

The rear windown of the 350 is too steep an angle for a windown antenna to work.

Got mine in today. Reception was almost non-existant when I installed as is. Used a washer as suggested (reception got clearer after a couple of twists to remove). I think I'm getting better reception with the new antenna and washer, but I need to get a grommet to fill in the gap created by the washer.

Antenna looks and sounds great though.

Fitted mine yesterday. Used a small metal washer the fitted inside the bottom of the antenna and a black rubber washer the same diameter as the base of the antenna to fill that gap 'jplvr' mentions. Great reception - great looking antenna.

just use a grinder, dremel, or disc sander to remove about 1/8" of the stud. Then when it screws down it will fit without a gap or having to use a washer.

Several people have asked me about the metal washer that I used inside my antenna. I have attached a picture of my metal washer. I got a whole container of them at my local hardware store for about $2.00. One worked wonders for me - you can always experiment with two or three if necessary.

After inserting this washer onto the antenna screw and then using some epoxy on the threads, it works beautifully and can't be stolen.
