Default Shaved doorhandles...

First off, don't have a Z yet. Haven't ordered one yet. Still not sure that it is the car for me.

One question. Can those large doorhandles be shaven off easily? Costwise what kind of atrocity would I be looking at? Has it been done before?

Any help would be appreciated. If I do choose to go with the Z, I would get black, do this "mod" and get some powdercoated or gunmetal wheels. I'm into the stealth type thing.

I felt the same way as you until I got the car. The door handles grow on you!

Still going for Gunmetal rims though.

Since the door handles are at the very edge of the door, I think it would be a more expensive/difficult job than usual!

Default Gig um!

This question has been posted before. I suggest doing a search if you want to see what others have thought. There is even a photochop of a PPW with the handles shaved. I personally like the handles.

I really don't like them either, they break up the lines. It was one of the cons in the pro/con evaluation between the G35C and the 350Z for me. I might eventually paint mine.

as you can see, most like em, some dont, but I dont think anyone would not get the car cause of em. I also agree, shaving isnt really an option since there at the edge, you cant just pull em off and bondo in the hole.

however girls are always telling me how cool my handles look, then I offer to show them the inside handles thats when they run away.

lol, your car is insanely clean. Looks great.

Now that I think about it, I don't think it would be worth the cost seeing as how they are at the edges of the door. I wonder how much of a hassle it would be to just paint them...

Sorry about not searching, I figured it had been posted before but I'm lazy and a simple 2 second search was just more than I had time for.

Thanks for the help, if everything works out....as I'm obviously hoping it will...the next Track model will be in Houston in 2 weeks, the first person on the list will pull out, and then I will be one with the Z.

Thanks

-Z

Slexis200:

It is not the issue that other people like the handles. I could care less if someone else likes or does not like them. I got the Z for me! The car has a clean 911 look but the handles (IMHO and it is a minority opionion BTW) look Rice. Thank God they did not put a wing on the back that is level with the roof line!
