Default Getting epoxy off the paint?

I had to glue the exterior window moulding back on my driver door and being the genius that I am, didn't think to use masking tape underneath. As a result, I ended up getting a bit of clear epoxy on the paint. How can I safely get it off without damaging the clearcoat?

Try using a clay bar or a light abrasive polish.

I would try the clay bar first, and if that doesn't work, step it up from there.

Leave it alone. The cure is worse than the disease.

You can get anything off any paint as long as you know what you are doing.

If its small pieces it can be taken off using an Exacto Knife and a steady hand and popping it off. Paint isnt a very good bonder with Epoxy, then a clay bar and wax

BTW---There is a 3M product called Super Weatherstrip Adhesive that is for that

Wait, how's a clay bar going to get rock-solid drops of epoxy off my paint?

Body shops use Clay bar to get off dried paint overspray.

In Tacoma,WA they built a bridge and whatever they used on the bridge went onto all the cars in the area, they showed body shops claying the cars. You might have to chip off any thick spots, but a clay bar could remove the residue left behind. You never really specified how thick the epoxy is.

If It was me, I would try and chip off as much as possible, clay bar and polish the area.
