Default does this swap work?

can you swap a 2003 center dash in a 2006 Z? Reason I want to do this is so I can have the cubby that has the sliding door. Is it a simple swap or is the dash layout different?

I dont think the 03's will work in the 06's....It involves a lot of modifications and still doesnt line up well at all. Lots of gaps....search in the audio/video section,,,there are lots of write up's there with people wanting the 03 cubbys in 06's for their Nav/DVD screens...

Your gonna have to do the center, ac control/shifter and center arm rest sections to keep things lined up.

I have an 03 door and frankly, its a pain in the drain compared to how easy my 04 plain flip up door was to open and close. It just feels cheap and closing it is not necessarily an intuitive motion, I am always slapping passengers hands who thing they might be "helpful" by closing it for me.

If I had an 06, I would rather mod the 06 cubby to fit a screen and have the full flip up to get a better sun shade.

You'd also have to buy the '06 HVAC control panel/*****; not sure if it'll plug right up to an '03-'05 car.

What I'll probably end up doing is just sticking with the 06 setup and figure out a way to mount it in there and just be happy with hit.
