Lightbulb Got bored painted STB etc (pic here)

Ok be harsh, tell me how you really feel! I don't care.

Show me love that's all good too!

I was off last night and decided to paint my STB and the two top right plastic removable areas like another guy had done (in red)

Sorry about the sizing it is in High Quality Mode but compressed 50%

pic here

Now,

My plan is to get some medium to light silver model pain with a very thin model brush (verrry thin) and repaint in the words Battery and Brakes

Thoughts?

I used a high heat (up yo 1200 degrees primer in blue and then some good cover coat that was shinier, more glossy.

It looks good to me in person and that's all that matters I guess but what do others think?

TIA!

looks pretty good. i think you should have left the bolts where you tighten the stb silver. it would be a nice accent. plus if you ever have to tighten it, you will probably strip all that paint off, and itll look bad

No problem,

I have pure acetone and can clean that up in 5 minutes with a small rag or q-tips or something!

This is the kind of advice I was looking for!

What about the color of the battery and other lettering?

Thanks peeps!

you can go to an art or hobby store and buy liquid mask. You paint up the outside and when its dry, spray paint it. then just peel the mask off before it dries.

Simple

Your original pic was the reason I painted moine. Yours is very well done.

What color would you do the lettering on the Blue?

Edit add, man am I tired or what, just worked 12 hours.

Someone else try this. Stare at the black lettered word battery and count to twenty, do not take your eyes off the word.

Then look around the area in the red surrounding. Does the word Battery ghost around in different areas or am I over worked?

I am tired, someone else trying this, Im gonna go crash!

Hobby stores. Get paint markers. Any colors you want.

Hey, looks pretty bad *** to me. The only thing I would change is the color of your grounding kit wirese, you can get those w/ a blue color closer to the rest of the car. Looks really good though.

I was thinking silver too, as close a match to the manifold as I can get and was also considering the Hobby Store and Paint Marker.

I like the different colors of blue instead of everything being the same though. The interior hood color area is lighter than the outside but I like the breaks in color, I guess the lighting detracts, looking directly at it it looks much better.

Thanks friends!

hmmm, how come no one took the housing off and painted those too. Would look better imo. The color cover and the black housing don't look right. I like it all black, it lets the engine bay just pop out more.

Default OK, This is a work in progress (new pic) opinions?

I did the writing in silver and did the first two bolts but not the threading or 3rd bolt for now.

Wanted some contrast, hard to tell but in person it's nice.

Do the 3rd bolt and the threads or leave the blue breaks in between?
