Default OEM spoiler installed by dealer, double sided tape question

So I have the dealer install an OEM spoiler as the car didn't come with one. Detailing the car a few weeks ago I notice that the top edge of the spoiler facing the rear window has a section of about 6 to 8 inches where it is raised up about 1/16 of an inch. The tape isn't holding the spoiler flush to the trunk lid in this raised section. I removed the trunk lid inner plastic trim, and the spoiler is secured by two drilled screws at the ends of the spoiler.

Anyone who's installed one, would I make a mess of the trunk lid if I removed the nuts and pried the spoiler off so I could retape the whole spoiler? Or should I wedge up the section that isn't sticking and see if I can slip/attach some fresh tape in this area? If so, standard 3M double sided, the white stuff? I already tried weights on the edge of the spoiler to hold it down hoping the tape would secure, but it keeps popping up, probablly got too much water and dirt under the lip before I tried this. I could just ignore it, but I am somewhat of a perfectionist, as I know many of you here are; and the sloppy dealer install pisses me off, but as we all know is par for the course unfortunately.Thanks.

How along ago did the dealer install it? Depending on how long it's been, I would take it back to the dealer. Fitment on OEM should be warranteed. It you mess with it too much yourself they will say it's your fault.

DO NOT pry it off; there is a strong possibility you will scratch up your hatch. I use a clear silicone RTV in places where I had gaps with my body kit; works like a charm. Just pry it up enough to get some in there with a little stick or something, then weight it down, wipe off any excess and let it cure. I've got the stuff holding fairly high tension pieces down ans it's never let go once. 3M tape just doesn't work all that well in high tension areas, especially if you can't get in there and clean it super well; with the RTV, you don't have to.

Thanks man! Sometimes I can't see the forrest for the trees, don't know why I didn't think of that. What brand did you use? I imagine any good brand will do.
